First shot for the Strobist: Lighting 102 Assignment - Cooking Light. First off, damn there are some good shots being turned in for this assignment! Second, I was a little bummed when I saw someone else had also turned in a shot of this same meat tenderizer. Third, I’m not sure if I like this black and white version of the photo, but I thought the lack of color would help emphasize the form and light in the photo. I might post another shot from this series later in the week. After looking at what some other people are done, I’ve got some new ideas so maybe I’ll shot something new and turn that in as well. Strobist Info: Sigma EF 500 DG Super at 1/4 Power, through a Lumiquest Soft Box triggered via a Pocket Wizard Plus II, Nikon SB-25 at 1/8 Power with a blue gel (not that you can tell here) fired at the white wall in the background. Vignetting added in Photoshop CS3. |
